Towards the end of October, Jordan and I were lucky to go Houston for the MD Anderson Physician and Nurse Summit-AKA, two days crammed full of information that is over our head and a lot to take in. It was amazing.
| We've never flown United, and I have to say, the Stroopwafel is A-maaazzzing!!! |
Saturday was CRAMMED with education. It was so refreshing to learn from people who knew what they were talking about and were excited to educate others! Like, it is getting me through my rough days to remember how refreshing those days were.
By the evening, our brains were fried so we skipped out on the night session and grabbed dinner with Dr. A and Jenni. It was great to get to know them more outside of work, eat burgers, and rag on millennials.
Sunday was a half day of more education and then travel home. Our plane was delayed, but we got home at a reasonable hour. Overall, I'm so thankful that we were afforded the opportunity to learn, travel(bonus points for being with Jordan,) and get to know our co-workers better. Better relationships=better working conditions=better patient care=happier Jordan and Heidi=all things better.
| The exact moment where I realized that the children in front of me who were hacking up a lung were definitely going to get me sick...and I was trapped...and man did I get sick... |
