27 Years

I'm getting old. And all of the old people were right, the years do go faster and faster. I would do a lot of things to pause time right now. I know that we're getting ready to leave the stage that we've been in the last five years. I know that life is about to get crazy. Our friends are ready to have kids. By this time next year, we will probably have a house.

Year 26 was very good to me. Every year I'm reminded of how absolutely blessed I am. So many #blessed moments this weekend.

Friday The 13th: Work was absolutely CRAY-ZEEEE. Like, didn't get lunch until 2pm, crazy, BUT everyone made it feel like the best day. Shelby brought me a giant Costco cake and balloon, Mer and Lori brought me sweet gifts, and the patients did everything they could to make it special. One sang me "Happy Birthday," and the others brought me treats. Seriously, they're the sweetest.

#costcocake
All day, Jordan and the rest of my co-workers had me convinced that I was going to dinner at Vida after work. Just kidding! Jordan, being the sweet and amazing husband that he is, planned a completely surprise party for me. He put in so much effort into getting friends together at the Kimes. Brittany was an amazing host, and everyone was so sweet to show me so much love.
Again, #blessed.

Weekend In Vincennes: We went back to Vincennes Saturday for Gabe and Seth's wedding. It was so surreal to see two kids from youth group get married. As Gabe was walking down the aisle, Jordan said, "Wow, they're just so young. They're children." "Babe, we were the same age when we got married." "Are you serious?! WE were CHILDREN!" Yep, we were. The wedding was a lot of emotions. Holly faced some of her biggest fears on Saturday, and I'm still in awe of her courage and strength.

We were able to go to church and lunch with my parents and Mikayla and Caden afterwards...at La Fiesta of course! My family showered me with so many sweet presents. I'm so lucky to have an amazing family that loves me the way that they do. #blessed

October Baybeeeeeeeeee!!!

October is my favorite month. From the time I can remember, I have loved it. Maybe it's my birthday, maybe it's the weather...but it always has my favorite memories. We're already halfway through, and already, I have so many good memories.

I got in one last swim at Maxinhall on the 2nd-officially the latest I've ever swam. 72 degrees is nippy, folks.

So thankful that I get to drive into the sunrise on the way to work.

Date night with the Alexander's. These guys are the best. Dinner at the Eagle, and fun at Tappers.

Cars all morning with this sweet babe.

He's going to be the best dad. The best.

The best part of my long run. Stopping to take a picture. It was a rough one. Real rough.
Colts vs. 49ers: Per the usual, the Kime's provide us some seriously incredible opportunities. Corey and Britt invited us to the game last Sunday. Unbeknownst to us, Peyton was retiring his jersey, VP Mike Pence was coming to the game(and was only 2 suites down), and basically, it was the most Hoosier sentimental game possible. The whole experience was crazy, fun, hilarious, and will be a day that we will never forget.

The End of September

I love the fall, like some people love Christmas. Honestly, Christmas is too busy-and gifts make me nervous...but the fall is my jam. We've been so busy, that I haven't had a chance to write anything down...but I don't want to forget the fun weekends we've had.

The end of September was PACKED...so so packed. On the 22nd, we headed to Vincennes for Tori's baby shower. The shower was early-ish in the morning, so we headed to Vincennes after work and rolled into town around 8. The Vincennes Brewing Company is the newest, coolest joint in town-I was exhausted...had on no makeup, and we saw 30 people we knew. I know I'm exaggerating, but it was ridiculous. After awkwardly drinking a beer, we wandered around the memorial and new river walk. It was nostalgic and wonderful.

Before the shower, Jordan, my mom and I all went riding around the gravel roads drinking coffee from Impressed. It was perfect.

The shower was fun. Procopio's delicious. Tori adorable. She and Issac will be the best parents, and we can't wait to meet baby Deacon.

As soon as the shower was over, we sped back to Indy for Carol's birthday dinner. We met (almost) everyone at Rick's Boatyard. It was such a fun dinner. Always so much food, so much ridiculous-ness, so much fun.

On Sunday, we made pizza on the grill and kept celebrating Carole.

Carole, thank you for being the best MIL I could ask for. You are kind, accepting, raised amazing children, and are an amazing grandmother. You are the best.

Sleepy, yogurt covered Ellie.

With the warm weather, this is the latest I've been able to swim in Lake Max. So amazing.

Our new series at church seemed super cheesy, BYOG (Bring Your Own God,) BUT it has been really really good. It's challenged me and encouraged me. Once again, God knows better. Duh.

Portillo's opened! This is huge in the Bushnell world! I had never heard of this place until the Bushnell family, but it's a legacy in the Bushnell household. It's fun to have one in Fisher's now for more family trips.
Isn't he the hottest?!

Half Training- It hasn't been perfect, but it's been a journey. Isn't that what it's all about anyway? I took this photo at the end of my run, and it perfectly captured the end of summer, beginning of fall transition. This photo means so much to me. It captures what I love about nature and about endurance training. A long winding road.
