I love the fall, like some people love Christmas. Honestly, Christmas is too busy-and gifts make me nervous...but the fall is my jam. We've been so busy, that I haven't had a chance to write anything down...but I don't want to forget the fun weekends we've had.
The end of September was PACKED...so so packed. On the 22nd, we headed to Vincennes for Tori's baby shower. The shower was early-ish in the morning, so we headed to Vincennes after work and rolled into town around 8. The Vincennes Brewing Company is the newest, coolest joint in town-I was exhausted...had on no makeup, and we saw 30 people we knew. I know I'm exaggerating, but it was ridiculous. After awkwardly drinking a beer, we wandered around the memorial and new river walk. It was nostalgic and wonderful.
Before the shower, Jordan, my mom and I all went riding around the gravel roads drinking coffee from Impressed. It was perfect.
The shower was fun. Procopio's delicious. Tori adorable. She and Issac will be the best parents, and we can't wait to meet baby Deacon.
As soon as the shower was over, we sped back to Indy for Carol's birthday dinner. We met (almost) everyone at Rick's Boatyard. It was such a fun dinner. Always so much food, so much ridiculous-ness, so much fun.
On Sunday, we made pizza on the grill and kept celebrating Carole.

Half Training- It hasn't been perfect, but it's been a journey. Isn't that what it's all about anyway? I took this photo at the end of my run, and it perfectly captured the end of summer, beginning of fall transition. This photo means so much to me. It captures what I love about nature and about endurance training. A long winding road.
